Cooking show with Nelson Müller and Joey Kelly

On Saturday, 22nd January 2011, Nelson Müller welcomed Joey Kelly as a guest on his cooking show.

Joey Kelly — the whole world is his show stage. Away from the spotlight, however, he becomes a “nobody” who performs amazing athletic feats, the pop star with the longest endurance. Kelly finished eight Ironman competitions within a period of only 12 months — a record no one had ever achieved before.

Joey Kelly

The sport changed his life and is still taking him to exotic corners of the world to take part in the most challenging ultra-competitions. As a competitive athlete, Joey Kelly is a globetrotter who has had many extreme experiences. From the Ultraman on Hawaii to the Sahara Desert Run, and from the Badwater Run in Death Valley and the Alaska 100-Mile Race to the "Race across America" bicycle race, Kelly has succeeded in crossing the finish line in all the events.

This is all the more impressive considering that Joey works “full time” as an artist, manager and father. But it’s exactly this iron will and self-discipline that enable him to achieve things that would be impossible for most people. He believes the mind is the key to everything, that it’s down to mastering oneself, applying oneself consistently and acting in a goal-oriented way.
